In downtown Portland there's this Saturday and Sunday market that opens up at the old side of the city. Hussle and the bussle people walking by, music and people talking fills the atmospher with fumes of BBQ and sweet roses. Big tents covered in Batik fabrics and ornated images, mens clanging musicle tunes on gabage cans and plastic water bins, womans dress up in colorful dresses and childrens face painted holding animal shaped ballons. Then as you cross the MAX rail you see little white huts all over the place like a little village, as you walk by each hut you see all kinds of sculptures, paintings, Jewlerys, Masks, Ductape accesories, Metal ornaments, wooden toys, flowers arrange in eye catching vases, and uniqe photography of places arond the state and elsewhere. There you see a main road block off filled with booths of food from all over the world, a mouthfull they look as your stomach turns smelling all that feast your eyes.
As you get your self lost in the crowded village you see a Tibetan hut filled with treasures from the far east, sweet insence draws your curiosity closer looking at carved bone necklaces, a giant wooden mask of a Woman with dreamy eyes and a wooden box carved in so many detials. Inside the booth A middle age oriental man smiles at you, he nods and greets you with a warm welcome, the same feeling felt as you approach to this lively market.

That is an example in my words of what the Saturday and Sunday market is like. My hobby of Card making and drawing/painting Gothic ornaments is going to be public, I want to set up my own both at the art side of the little white village. This is going to be a very long term goal, the cards I made (Top images) are a rough draft, same to the work (Below), I may find this possiblity in 2 years or less. I am determin to make over 300+ different cards and drawings/paintings of Ornamental figures, yet in prints too. I have the motivation to take this action, after interviewing in person with a few local artist in some of the art booth. I’m inspired of there creativity and how they made there decision to have there art displayed in thousands of people each week. It is a lot of work they told me, but you got to have faith in your self to keep moveing and doing your stuff! Travel, explore and inspire your self with different feeling with nature and culture, this will help build new Ideas and learn various moods when working. Most of all take breaks on the way so that it can help build more energy while continueing the project.
Even though I work full time at a job that’s not at all art realted, I still have to make money on the side and help my parents out with the bills. I treat my self with goody at the Market but also buy art realted goods for my project. As far as my commisions I owe people, I could do them now in the mean time so it doesn’t distract me from my long term goal. I will close commisions once I finish everyones reqested work. I also hope the world doesn’t end in 2012 because I should be where I want to be at that time…. I might as well post every work I’ll make for the project so that people who I share this website too can see the work they bought from me, aslo I got to find out how to make buisness cards because that rocks! That would really spread the message to my work and also be notifeid to the art world.

There is more to this journal but it is kept personal, I am really exited about this project. I will use a lot of faith on the way because obstiaclas will always appear no matter what. So in the mean time you will be seeing different stuff as I post during the months because those are last calls of reqested work from people. Also Photograpghs of randomness! Just to ease things out and post something incase I haven’t done so in a while. I hope this summer will be a great kick off and to you folks as well. Keep moveing and do as much as you can, lets make it the longest summer!!!
